ArcelorMittal Poland (previously Mittal Steel Poland) is the largest steel producer in Poland, employing more than 11 000 people in six plants located in Silesia, Malopolska and Opolskie province. Thanks to the investments, the value of which in 2004-2014 amounted to more than PLN 5 bn, ArcelorMittal Poland has become one of the most modern steel producers in Europe.
The company produces:
- Well-known long products such as sections (including sheet piles), rails and railway accessories, as well as mining supports used respectively in construction, railway transport and mining industry.
- flat products used in the automotive, appliance and construction industries.

ArcelorMittal Poland concentrates about 70 per cent of the Polish steel industry’s production capacity. The company is also one of the largest Polish exporters and producers of coke in Europe and in the entire ArcelorMittal group. The production capacity of two coking plants: in Zdzieszowice and Kraków reaches about 5 million tonnes per year.
