ArcelorMittal Poland recognized as a Leader of the Manufacturing World

ArcelorMittal Poland was named the Leader of the Manufacturing World, in the category “Production Company of the Year” at the gala ceremony “Leaders of the Energy and Manufacturing World”, organized by the Innovative Production Forum on April 4th in Warsaw.

- The Innovative Production Forum is an annual event, during which companies are recognized for their outstanding performance. Employers can submit competition entries in several categories. ArcelorMittal Poland signed up to “Production Company of the Year” category, where such factors as: expert knowledge, implementation of innovative technologies and solutions, continuous growth of company are taken into account and evaluated. These factors basically decide whether a company is successful or not  – explains Agnieszka Woźniak, head of GEDP, Recruitment and Training in ArcelorMittal Poland.

- ArcelorMittal Poland has been recognized for the continuous growth, its contribution to research and development and for investing in the production plants, which directly improves the steel industry in Poland. The company is one of the most innovative steel producers in Europe with about 70% of production capacity of the Polish steel industry – said Marcin Prokop who led the gala ceremony.

The award was handed out by Artur Staniec, Managing Director, Simon-Kucher & Partners - Strategy & Marketing Consultants, and picked up by Piotr Tupta, Plant Director Long Products Rolling Mills in ArcelorMittal Poland Unit in Dąbrowa Górnicza. On behalf of the management board, all employees and himself, he ensured that ArcelorMittal Poland has been transforming Polish steel industry for 14 years now, modernizing and investing in new installations.

During those 14 years of presence in Poland the company has invested over PLN 6 bn in its installations, which had a significant impact on the Polish economy and society. – It motivates us to keep on investing and modernizing Polish steel sector. We will invest and we will not stop! – assures Piotr Tupta.

- ArcelorMittal has been recognized for its investment programme, continuous development and innovations. It is because of ArcelorMittal Poland one of the most modern hot rolling mills in Europe and one of the few in the world installations to produce 120-long rails for high-speed railways are located in Poland – said Stanisław Ból, Head of Social Dialogue in ArcelorMittal Poland, who represented our company along with Piotr Tupta, Plant Director Long Products Rolling Mills, during the gala ceremony.
