Culture Elevators handed out! ArcelorMittal Poland supports culture in Krakow

Already for the sixth time, the Krakow Festival Office (KBF) has handed out the “Dźwigacze Kultury” (“Culture Elevators”) awards to its partners and sponsors for their contribution to cultural life in Krakow. The KBF’s mission is to support and develop partnerships between business and cultural institutions.

ArcelorMittal Poland has received this prestigious recognition once again – We feel honoured for appreciating our commitment and efforts in supporting cultural initiatives in Krakow. We are delighted that the KBF recognized our engagement, but foremost that we can contribute to many prestigious and valuable cultural events, which are available to the general public – says Anna Bochenek, Communications and Community Engagement, who on behalf of ArcelorMittal Poland, received the award.

The award’s name refers to the atlas, which in anatomy, is the most superior (first) cervical vertebra of the spine. It is derived from the Greek mythological figure Atlas, who was believed to hold up the world on his shoulders. It also symbolizes how important for the development of culture is business and media support. And finally the name and theme is an inspiration for graphic artists. This year’s poster was designed by Krzysztof Iwański, Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz graduate and European Design Awards prize winner in 2016 and 2017. This year’s design with abundant typography symbolizes creativity and variety of the KBF’s undertakings.
