ArcelorMittal Poland informs that, following in-depth analyses of all available options, the company has taken a decision on two standstills of the wire rod mill in Sosnowiec in the fourth quarter, of which the first started on November 18 and will finish on November 26, 2023.
The decision results from a difficult market situation – according to the Polish Steel Association apparent steel consumption in Poland has dropped by 17 per cent y/y.
