- I would like to thank Geert for the five years he has spent in leading the transformation journey of our company. During his tenure as CEO and then also the chairman of the board of directors at ArcelorMittal Poland he has implemented and supervised significant investments worth more than PLN 2 bn, which have allowed us to reduce our environmental footprint and further develop our high added-value product portfolio. He has put a lot of effort into preparing both the company and our employees to cruise through the challenging periods driven by the cyclical nature of our business. I wish him the best of luck and instant success in his new assignment – comments Sanjay Samaddar, chairman of the Supervisory Board at ArcelorMittal Poland. – I also welcome Marc De Pauw on board. I am convinced that, with his vast experience from several countries where he has successfully led transformation and projects, he will lead the company on its continued journey towards operational excellence with new energy – he adds.
