Statement of ArcelorMittal Poland regarding the TU protest in Dąbrowa Górnicza

ArcelorMittal Poland informs that a protest organized today by some of the trade union organizations is not legal as it violates the regulations of an act on resolving labour dispute. Currently ArcelorMittal Poland is not in a labour dispute with employees.

We hope that those trade union organizations which encouraged employees to take part in today’s protest  will act responsibly and will return to negotiation table.

ArcelorMittal Poland is ready to continue discussion and declares its willingness to finalize negotations in the shortest possible time.  Another meeting is planned on 10th of March. CEO of ArcelorMittal Poland takes part in these meetings. As many as 12,000 employees are waiting for the salary agreement to be reached, so we expect a responsible approach from the social side
