ArcelorMittal (‘the Company’) notes the announcement made by Tauron Polska Energia S.A. (‘Tauron’) yesterday, in which it claimed to have exercised a put option requiring ArcelorMittal to purchase Tauron’s shareholding in Tameh Holding.
ArcelorMittal disputes Tauron’s statement that it has exercised its put option and has not purchased any of Tauron’s shareholding in Tameh Holding. ArcelorMittal intends to contact Tauron to discuss the situation. While these discussions take place, the Company will make no further comment on the matter.
