We'll give away plants in exchange for waste-pape

Next Thursday (July 27), ArcelorMittal Poland is launching a pro-environmental campaign in front of the main gate of Kraków's steel plant. Persons who bring unneeded waste-paper between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. will receive beautiful plants. This way, the organisers of the campaign want to encourage local residents to segregate waste – especially since new waste segregation regulations were introduced in Poland on July 1. “Along with the economic development we generate more and more waste, which constitutes a real threat not only for the environment but also for our health. Campaigns encouraging pro-environmental behaviours are much needed so ArcelorMittal Poland willingly supports projects integrating local communities around actions promoting appropriate attitude towards the nearest neighbourhood and natural environment,” comments Jolanta Zawitkowska, Green Officer at ArcelorMittal Poland, adding that waste management and waste recirculation are important elements of the company's corporate strategy
